- Extensive geological survey and scrutiny was performed to explore the deposit for bituminous coal, iron ore, silica stone, and gold that were scattered over the regions throughout Indonesia. Included are Malinau, Nunukan, Samarinda, Balikpapan, Tanjung, Tanah Grogot, Banjarmasin, Tabalong, Pontianak, Sanggata, Sangkurirang, Penajam, Tenggarong in Kalimantan, as well as numerous areas in Sumatra such as Muara Enim, Bengkulu and others.
